Casting for shrimp can be a lot of fun and you will have something to produce a result for your effort.
When I cast for shrimp I prefer A 4 foot radius cast net bearing in mind a 3/8 inch mesh. A larger net will cover more area but it takes longer to load and the additional weight will tire you out quicker. A 1/2 inch mesh will catch fewer shrimp but they will be larger. afterward the 3/8 inch mesh I use the larger shrimp for eating and keep some of the smaller shrimp for bait.
